The Sunset Club 1894-95

Clarence Darrow joined the Sunset Club soon after moving to Chicago. The club was created to "foster rational good fellowship and tolerant discussion among business and professional men of all classes." And "Any genial and tolerant fellow may become a member on approval of the executive committee." It met at a dinner once a month on a Thursday evening to hear short talks on a topics selected by the Secretary. Darrow became a member of the executive committee. Many of its discussions were published. This is the cover from one of its publications.
