Allegheny College, Meadville, Pennsylvania c. 1909

Clarence Darrow attended Allegheny in 1872 and stayed for one year. His father had graduated from this college. Darrow wrote in his 1932 autobiography: "I spent one year at Allegheny College. I came back a better ball player for my higher education. I learned to despise the study of Latin and Greek, although I never told my father so."
